What do I need for my first indoor grow?
Grow tent, LED lamp, carbon filter, inline fan, clip-on fan, pH meter, substrate, and seeds. All in
one Leafier complete set starting from EUR 409.90
Is cannabis cultivation legal in Germany?
Since 2024, adults (18+) are allowed to grow up to 3 plants for personal use. All seeds at Leafier
are sold as souvenir seeds.
Which tent size do you recommend for beginners?
60x60x120 cm or 60x60x180 cm. Enough for 1-2 plants, fits in any storage room and is energy efficient
How much electricity does a grow setup consume?
A 120W LED panel, running 18h/day, costs approx. 15-20 EUR per month. Significantly less than old HPS lamps.
How long does a complete grow take?
Autoflowering: 70-85 days from seed to harvest. Feminized: 90-130 days depending on the strain.
What is the difference between autoflowering and feminized?
Auto: flowers automatically without light change, shorter, easier. Fem: needs 12/12h light change, longer,
more control.
Which strain do you recommend for the first grow?
Blue Dream Automatic or AK-47 Automatic. Both are robust, beginner-friendly, and yield well.
Can I successfully grow without experience?
Yes. With a complete kit, good autoflowering seeds, and this guide, the first grow almost always succeeds.
How many plants fit in a 60x60 tent?
1-2 plants. For autoflowering, 1 generous plant is also enough for a good yield.

Lighting & Ventilation
How many Watts of LED do I need?
Rule of thumb: 200-300W of actual LED power per m2. For 60x60 cm, 120W is sufficient. Our sets include the
appropriate lamp.
How long should the light be on?
Vegetation & Autoflowering: 18h light / 6h dark. Feminized Flowering: 12h / 12h.
Why do I even need an activated carbon filter?
It completely neutralizes the smell. Without a filter, you can smell the grow from outside. A must in every setup.
How warm can it get in the tent?
Ideal: 22-26 degrees Celsius. Maximum: 28 degrees. Above 30 degrees, heat stress, yield losses
What is the optimal humidity?
Veg-Phase: 50-70%. Bloom: 40-50%. Late Bloom: below 45% to prevent mold.
What is VPD and why is it important?
Vapour Pressure Deficit. It describes the balance between temperature and
humidity. Optimal VPD: 0.8-1.2 kPa in the vegetative phase.
How do I size my duct fan correctly?
The extractor fan should completely exchange the air in the tent every 1-3 minutes. Formula: Tent volume (m³) x 20-60 = required m³/h.
CO2 enrichment – when is it worthwhile?
Only with a professional setup with very good ventilation and optimal temperature. Unnecessary and expensive for beginners.
When do I buy autoflowering, when feminized?
Autoflowering for beginners and small tents. Feminized for experienced growers with larger setups and more time.
What do Sativa and Indica mean?
Sativa: energetic, cerebral, taller growth. Indica: relaxing, physical, compact growth. Hybrids
combine both.
How do I germinate seeds correctly?
Soak seeds in water for 12-24 hours, then place between moist paper towels at 22-25 degrees Celsius. After 2-5
days, the radicle will appear.
What are EU genetics seeds?
Seeds from European cultivation. Stable, tested quality, reliable germination rate. All Lions Hemp seeds
are EU genetics
How many seeds should I order?
For beginners: 2-3 times the desired number of plants. Not every seed germinates, and practice makes perfect.
What is feminization, and how does it work?
Feminized seeds contain only female chromosomes (XX). Produced by stress-treating
female plants to produce pollen.
F1, F2, S1 – what do these terms mean?
F1: first generation of a cross (very stable). F2: second generation (more variance). S1: self-pollination
of a plant.
How do I store seeds long-term?
Cool (5-8 degrees), dark, and dry. In the refrigerator in airtight containers with silica gel. This way, seeds will remain
viable for 5+ years.
Irrigation & Nutrients
How often do I need to water?
Only water when the top layer of soil is dry to the touch. Less is more –
overwatering is the most common beginner's mistake.
What pH should the irrigation water have?
For soil: pH 6.0-6.5. For hydro/coco: pH 5.8-6.2. Incorrect pH blocks nutrient absorption.
When do I start fertilizing?
With good cannabis substrate (e.g., Biobizz Light Mix), only from week 3-4 onwards. The substrate contains nutrients
for the initial growth phase.
Which water should I use?
Tap water (let it stand for 24 hours to dechlorinate) or still mineral water. Always measure and
adjust the pH.
What does "flush" mean and when do I do it?
Water with plain water only 1-2 weeks before harvest. This flushes nutrient residues out of the plant
and improves the taste.
What is EC value and how do I use it?
EC measures the nutrient concentration in the water (mS/cm). Vegetative phase: 0.8-1.2. Flowering: 1.2-1.8. Too high
leads to nutrient burn.
Organic vs. mineral fertilizers – which is better?
Organic: natural taste, self-regulating, forgiving of errors. Mineral: more precise, faster, but
more prone to errors. For beginners: organic.
What is superfecundation and how do I recognize it?
Nutrient burn from too much fertilizer. Recognizable by brown leaf tips. Immediately increase watering amount and
lower EC.
Advanced Techniques
What is topping?
Pinching out the main shoot tip. Promotes bushy growth and several equally strong flower heads
instead of one dominant main shoot tip.
What is LST (Low Stress Training)?
Gently bend branches downwards and outwards and secure them. More light to all shoot tips, more yield without
stress for the plant.
What is SCRoG and who is it suitable for?
Screen of Green: stretch a net over the plants and thread shoots through it. Maximizes
light exposure, but requires more time and experience.
What is defoliation and when do you do it?
Targeted removal of leaves to improve air circulation and light penetration. Only recommended in veg and
early flowering.
How do I know when it's the right time to harvest?
Observe trichomes under a magnifying glass: clear = too early, milky white = peak THC, amber = more
CBD/CBN, more relaxing effect.
What is supercropping?
Squeeze and bend main shoots without breaking them. The plant reacts by thickening the area and
growing more vigorously. High-Stress Method.
How do I properly dry and cure?
Drying: 7-14 days hanging at 18-22 degrees, 45-55% humidity. Curing: store in a jar, ventilate daily,
at least 2-4 weeks for optimal taste.
What is revegging?
Reverting a harvested plant to 18/6h light to bring it back to the vegetative phase. Saves on germination time and preserves proven genetics.
